Coming in February Ironwood Omnimedia will release 12 new products.

The 12 new products range across 8 new titles, four of which will be released in both E-RPG and d20 formats.

The new product line features 6 new titles from the Journal Series. The series contains record keeping resources for players to track and maintain character information and stories throughout their campaigns.

Among these are three spell books, the Character Grimoire, Character Song Book, and Character Prayer Book, which characters can record spells and theories for their character’s use. Two Game Master Resources are also available in the forms of the Campaign Journal, and the Campaign Atlas. Four of these titles are also presented in d20 format and these include the Character Journal and all three spell books. The Game Master books are universal books applicable to any game system.

The release comes on the heels of further delays for the forthcoming Modern and Sci-Fi rules setting. Two titles, Paradigm and Prophecy, headline the release that also features six new titles from the new Journal Series.

“We decided to finish the initial product line for Fantasy first,” says project developer Ruel Knudson. “We had some new ideas that we thought would fit this release nicely with the initial lineup. This brings the player some new material that we could produce quickly, rather then putting them on the back burner to follow the other PGB releases.”

The release also marks the end of the initial launch for the Fantasy Sagas game line. The total number of titles originally forecasted included only 3 titles and the Game Master Lodestar. With February’s release the full line up now reaches 11 titles (15 books). However, Ironwood promises more titles by the end of the year following the launches of Modern and Sci-Fi.

The journal series will also continue through the Modern and Sci-Fi game lines. While the books are expected to remain very similar, they will be thematically redesigned for their respective game lines. “Each line will follow a similar product lineup. Each launch will include a Player’s Guidebook, adventure module, a Paradigm, and new journals.”

Last, but not least, all Fantasy products will also be reformatted for hardcover release. This gives customers up to three different choices of formats to fit their preference and budget.

One Response to “February Release News”
  1. Ruel Knudson says:

Sorry folks. The release is going to be delayed at least until March 3. Unfortunately we have been passing the flu around the development team. We may have some of the books up before the third, but we won’t be able to release the full line until this weekend at least.

Again, we apologize for the delay.
